REPRESENTATIVE
PROJECTS Federal
Bureau of Investigation, Washington, DC Developed hazardous
materials (HM) program guidance, HM training package, and HM disposal
specifications for FBI headquarters safety office. Conducted an
inspection of a firing range for lead contamination and developed
engineering specifications for abatement. Provided oversight and
monitoring of abatement work.
Environmental
Protection Agency, Washington, DC. Developed health and safety
training course materials and audiovisual aids for several distinct
training initiatives for important health and safety issues. Presented
courses to various EPA regional offices throughout the U.S. Courses
included Confined Space Entry, Health & Safety for Hazardous Waste
Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Hazardous Operations
Technician Awareness, Hazard Communication, and Laboratory Safety.
Department of Health
and Human Services, Washington, DC. Conducted health and
safety, environmental management program, and radiation safety audits
of each of the administrations within HHS. Developed standardized
audit criteria and evaluation forms for each aspect of the audit.
Audits consisted of site inspections, records review, and personnel
interviews. Reports were delivered to the Office of the Secretary of
HHS.
Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Conducted
health and safety, environmental management program, and radiation
safety audits of each of the administrations within HHS. Developed
standardized audit criteria and evaluation forms for each aspect of
the audit. Audits consisted of site inspections, records review, and
personnel interviews. Reports were delivered to the Office of the
Secretary of HHS.
U.S. Pentagon,
Washington, DC. Providing safety inspection and training
program for Facility Operations Division at the Pentagon. Conducted
safety inspections of 23 shops including carpentry, electrical,
plumbing, boiler operations, and paint shops.
National Institutes
of Health, Bethesda, MD. Developed general safety, fire
protection, environmental management, bio-safety, and radiation safety
design guidelines for construction or renovation of NIH laboratories,
hospitals, vivaria, and office facilities. Conducted an audit of NIH
safety and environmental management programs to ensure compliance with
OSHA, EPA, and State of Maryland regulations.
Open Enrollment
Training. Since 1995, SaLUT has been providing industrial
hygiene, health & safety, and environmental training that is open
to the public. Training usually involves classes ranging in length
from several hours to several days. Certain classes are scheduled at
regular intervals while others are held at special request from
clients. Training materials are provided by SaLUT. The venue for the
classes can be at the client site or in SaLUT's training facility.
